Cape Nature Stewardship
On the rolling hills of Diepklowe grows the endangered Renosterveld which, together with Cape Nature, is being conserved under the Cape Nature Stewardship program. Within this agreement Diepklowe maintains conservation principles under the guidance of Cape Nature. The stewardship program was set up due to the fact that most of the province’s rare biodiversity exists on privately owned land. By entering into the stewardship program, private owners help to conserve the indigenous vegetation of the areas they occupy.
